County Cup Football
N Stone - Yesterday - Notice
Image.jpeg)
This afternoon the U16 football squad welcomed KEVIGS for their county cup semi-final fixture. Both teams started positively creating early chances. The QEGS team were unfortunate to see their first goal disallowed however the team did not allow this frustration to impact their mindset. Just before the break KEVIGS scored the opener and led 1-0 at half time. The team started the second half brightly and soon equalised through striker Brandon Simons after more tireless work up front. Unfortunately KEVIGS showed their class and scored two further goals to take the game away from our U16 team. Despite the loss the team can be proud of their efforts in this year’s county cup making it through to the last four teams. A special mention must go to Morgan Shaw who led the team’s defence exceptionally well yet again.
Well done to the whole team.
Year 9 Football
N Stone - Yesterday - Notice
On Monday afternoon the U14 Football squad took on local rivals JSTC in their final league game of the season. The team played some nice football and quickly raced into a 2-0 lead. Goal of the game was a result of a lovely team move with excellent work by Connor Finley and Archie Murray down the right hand side, who’s cross was superbly finished first time by Finley Ambridge-Richardson. JSTC did come back into the game in the second half to their credit. The score finished 4-3.
Well done to the whole team on what has been a positive season.

Senior Football
N Stone - 27/03/2025 - Notice
The senior football team travelled to KEVIGS on Wednesday for a lunch time kick off against a strong opposition. Having lost 7-0 to KEVIGS earlier in the season the team were determined to give a better performance. KEVIGS settled into the game quickly dominating possession. However due to some resolute defending and hard work in midfield they were unable to create any clear cut chances. QEGS grew into the game and finished the half creating the best chance of the half which unfortunately couldn't be finished by left winger Alex Roberts. The second half was evenly matched with both sides working hard and creating a handful of chances. Angus Kirwick played as the solo striker and was a constant threat. His work rate off the ball when in possession, and pressing out of possession was exceptional. He went closest to scoring with an excellent long range effort which grazed the bar. Unfortunately, with three minutes to go, KEVIGS scored the only goal of the game. However, the QEGS team can be extremely pleased with their performance and effort throughout the match.
Top performers:
Rossi Atkinson and Josh Hurst: both centre backs played superbly well
Angus Kirwick: as mentioned above
Oliver Sealey: worked tirelessly in central midfield
Zak Stuart: playing at left back was a constant threat when driving forward
Well done to the whole team on what was a strong performance.
9 goals for year 9!
N Stone - 27/03/2025 - Notice
On Wednesday afterschool the U14 team travelled to Spilsby to take on KEVI. The team started brightly and were able to move the ball forward comfortably which quickly allowed them to create numerous attacking chances. Early goals from Seth Watts (captain), and Finley Ambridge-Richardson gave the team an early 2-0 lead. The score line finished 9-0 to QEGS. Despite the one sided game the team applied themselves professionally throughout the match aiming to play attractive football. Well done to the whole team.
