County Cricket
N Stone - Yesterday - Notice
Well done to the U15 cricket team who beat QEGS Horncastle this afternoon in their final county league fixture. Bowling first the team restricted Horncastle to 100 runs from their 16 overs. Opening bowlers Rowan Smith and Jack Beevers started the innings off superbly well claiming a wicket each.
With the bat Rowan again opened, with Luke Perrin, and the two scored at a quick rate building an excellent partnership of 62 runs before Rowan was caught out on the boundary. Luke eventually retired on 35 runs and was given the player of the match award.
Well done to the whole team on what was an excellent game.
